Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure

This webinar explored the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT) and their role in supporting inclusive Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN). Participants gained an understanding of the origins, principles and key elements of the VGGT, and examined how secure and equitable land governance can contribute to sustainable land management, restoration and community livelihoods. Through presentations from experts working at global, national and local levels, the session highlighted practical examples of integrating the VGGT into land restoration and conservation initiatives, while exploring challenges, innovations and lessons learned. The webinar provided participants with insights into how the VGGT can support inclusive LDN, strengthen land governance processes and inform the design and implementation of sustainable land management and restoration efforts at both national and local levels.
