Monitoring Community-Based Sustainable Land Management & Restoration

 

This webinar explored the principles of Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and community-based Sustainable Land Management, providing participants with practical approaches to land and soil restoration. The session examined both participatory and scientific restoration tools, while highlighting the importance of gender equality, youth engagement and inclusive community participation in monitoring and reporting processes. Through examples from global, regional and local restoration initiatives, participants gained insights into successful approaches and lessons learned. The webinar equipped attendees with the knowledge to design or strengthen community-based restoration efforts aligned with national priorities and UNCCD goals, implement effective restoration tools, apply inclusive monitoring practices and adapt proven restoration strategies to their own contexts.
