Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF) started its journey in year 2000 from Begumgonj, Noakhali District, Bangladesh with the aim to achieve sustainable socio-economic development, in the country, through empowering youths. Since then, DYDF has spread across 52 districts in Bangladesh with a member count exceeding 48 000. DYDF is proud to be the oldest youth-led organization which is working to achieve the SDGs and protecting the environment.

During this period DYDF was awarded as best Youth Organization from the Ministry of Youth and Sports on National Youth Day 2014. It also received the National Youth Award 2016 as the best youth organization from the Honourable Prime Minister and the Queens Young Leader’s award in 2017. At present DYDF is striving towards fulfilling the SDG Agenda 2030 while also achieving its vision of youth empowerment. DYDF is also a UNCCD accredited CSO and participated in COPs 13, 14 & 15.

  • Training the youth on producing and promoting organic manure and pesticides

Mission:

Our key mission is to empower youth through developing their leadership and management skills and motivating them to becoming responsible citizens and using their positive energy for the constructive sustainable development of the nation.

Our motto is to engage and create entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth, make them employable, develop their innovative ideas and promote a skills-based education system.

We seek to reduce rural and urban divide and promote access to resources for youth groups, and carry out research to identify gaps and challenges in the social development sector where youth can become potential contributors.
