CARI

CARI is a non profit organisation and accredited Non-Governmental Organisationat the UNCCD based in the South of France, involved both in the field of rural development projects in drylands of Sub Sahara and North Africa regions and in networking on national and international level under the framework of the UNCCD.

In the projects and through partnerships CARI is mainly training and building capacity on agroecology in order to increase soil productivity and food security. CARI is also widely involved in the context of oases agriculture. In France CARI is facilitating the stakeholders working group on desertification and fostering the dialogue with the public institutions at national and international level in order to increase the development of the drylands. In Europe CARI is a member of eniD (European Networking Initiative on Desertification).
